Instructions for Obtaining Your GED® or HiSET® in California

1. You are required to be a resident of the state of California
2. You are not eligible if you are already enrolled in a high school that is accredited or if you have graduated from high school
3. You need to be at least 18 years old.
4. Cost: GED: $28.75 (per subject)
5. $115 (all subjects).
6. Minimum score required to pass each topic on the GED exam is 145.
